How To Play Spanish 21
Spanish Blackjack, also referred to as Spanish 21, is known as one of the most attractive variants of blackjack for players.
This entertaining variation of blackjack features the opportunity to get massive payouts on hands that total 21, do things like Hitting or Doubling after splitting Aces plus a very unique option called “Double-Down Rescue”.
Applicable Rules
The most evident characteristic of Spanish 21 is that it’s played using a Spanish deck, which is a standard deck of 52 cards where all 10-value cards have been removed (10′s, Jacks, Queens and Kings). So effectively youre playing with decks of 48 cards, not 52.
The effect of removing all 10 value cards from the deck is that there is no way to get a natural blackjack, which clearly favors the dealer’s odds.
To compensate for this, Spanish 21 introduces a series of rule variations that make up for the lack of blackjack hands. For example, forming a hand that it’s 21 in value using 5,6 or 7 cards will result in a 50:1 payout.
So there are two positive things about not having 10 value cards. On the one hand, youre far more likely to build a 21-hand using 5-7 cards and get high payouts on your bet. On the other, the odds of going Bust are much lower.
Spanish 21 is usually played using either 6 or 8 decks of cards but this can vary depending on the casino. Whats important to highlight is that as the number of decks decreases, the players advantage increases.
In Spanish Blackjack, youre allowed to Split and re-Split hands, even after splitting Aces. It is also possible to Hit/Double-Down after splitting including after splitting Aces and Doubling Down is not restricted to any specific hand values.
Other rules include Late Surrender being available even after Doubling Down. When players take this option they give up the amount bet as the original stake and it’s known as Double Down Rescue.
Its important to highlight, however, that in this game the dealer is forced to Hit on a soft 17. The implication of this is important for players because this effectively increases the houses advantage by 0.22%.
Increased Payouts
In this game, the players 21 will win against a dealers 21 but theres a different payout for this hand depending on how many cards make up this 21 hand.
For instance, if you build a 21-point hand with 5 cards, your bet will return at 3:2 – like natural blackjacks. The same hand using 6 cards will payout at 2:1 and any 21 hands created using seven or more cards will payout at 3:1.
Other unique hand combinations that offer exceptional payouts are hands of 6,7 and 8 and a triple 7 of mixed suits which return bets at 3:2. If this hand is made using cards of the same suit the payout is 2:1 and if it’s created using Spades it will payout at 3:1.
And finally, the highest payout on your stake will come from creating a 21-hand of suited 7s when the dealers up card is a seven, which has a payout of 50:1.
In conclusion, Spanish Blackjack is a unique and fun variation of blackjack that features exceptional rules and payouts. Something that makes this game stand out from the rest is that unlike other variations that require players to place an additional side bet to qualify for high payouts based, in Spanish Blackjack these payouts are available as part of your standard blackjack stake.

The Rules Of European Blackjack Streak & Hi-Lo 13
A blackjack variant thats also very popular among casino players is European Blackjack. This well-known version sometimes comes with an optional side bet that offers you additional payouts for up to 10:1 the amount of original bet.
The side bets offered in European blackjack vary depending on the specific version of the game and from casino to casino but today were going to talk about two interesting variations: High Streak and Hi-Lo 13.
Understanding the Rules of European Blackjack

European Blackjack Hi-Lo 13
If the odds and payouts of winning several hands in a row are not interesting enough, heres another variation of blackjack that offers attractive odds with nice payouts.
The side bet game offered in Hi-Lo 13 is much simpler, youre just wagering money on the total value of your first 2 cards being Below, Equal or Above 13.
A successful bet on either Below or Above 13 will pay your bet at 1:1 – double your money, but a successful bet on Equal to 13 will yield an impressive return of 10:1.
So what are the odds of winning any of these bets? In the interest of keeping this simple, just think about this, the odds of drawing 11 are only 4.73% and lower for any number below this point.
The probability of drawing 12 (below) and 13 (the middle point) are actually identical, 9.47% and the most likely to be drawn is getting a combined value of 20 which has a probability of 10.65%.

Blackjack Games: Lucky Blackjack
There are tens of different variants of the game of blackjack and every version has its own rules and winning odds.
One of these many variants is one called “Lucky Blackjack”, which is a blend of card and table game with fast action and superb winning odds.
In classic Blackjack the objective of the game is to build a hand that it’s either 21 in value (Blackjack) or higher than the total value of the dealer’s hand but Lucky Blackjack is quite different.
You play Lucky Blackjack by placing bets on any of the seven different values that you believe will be the final value of the dealer’s hand.
It’s important to highlight that you will not play a hand of blackjack yourself, only the dealer will receive cards until he’s either forced to stand, reaches 21 or goes bust.
Lucky Blackjack offers 7 different hand values that you can bet on: 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, Bust and Blackjack.
You will noticed that the lowest hand value you can bet on is 17. This has to do with the house rules whereby the dealer has to Hit on 16 and Stand on all 17′s – hard and soft.
The Odds of Each Betting Option
Now that we’ve covered the basic rules of Lucky Blackjack, let’s have a look at the odds of each point value.
In order to have a better understanding of the winning odds of each of these seven possible outcomes, we need to analyze the probability of the dealer having each of these final hand values.
If players were to bet on the dealer getting a natural Blackjack hand, the odds of winning would be 4.82% but if you were to bet on the dealer actually creating a hand of 21 in value, the chances of winning would be 7.36%
Now, betting on the dealer having a final point value hand of 20 features an impressive 17.59% odds of winning.
Please note that out of the seven options, this one is the one with the most attractive winning odds.
Another options is betting on 19. When you bet on the dealer having a final point value of 19, the odds of winning is 13.48% but if you bet on 18, then the probability goes up to 13.81%.
And lastly, a bet on the dealer having a final point value of 17 offers a higher 14.58% chances of winning.
As you know by now, it’s not possible to place a wager on a point value of 16 but it’s important to highlight that the dealer is more likely to draw 16 than any other hand value (16-21); the probability of this happening is a colossal 28.36%.
The reason why we mentioned the probability of the dealer drawing 16 is because he must Hit on 16 and the odds of the dealer going Bust after hitting on 16 are a colossal 42.08%.
With these two probabilities in mind, players can have a much better idea of the likelihood of the dealer going Bust.
